Moving within the same building in Boston, Ma
Are you moving within the same building? No problem! This is a very common request, for a few reasons. Sometimes folks find a larger unit in the same complex, and hire moving labor to facilitate moving the big furniture while they transport small loose items and boxes. Other times, folks who live downstairs from a senior family member will decide to switch units so that the older residents can avoid having to use the stairs. Hiring movers when you’re moving within the same building is a great way to save yourself time, annoyance, and injury risk.

Just fill out our quote request form and for “starting location,” select “N/A — relocating items within the same location.” Add any pertinent details in the notes section at the bottom, and submit the form. We’ll respond via email with either a quote or some follow-up questions.
What to know about moving within the same building
The only tricky thing with a “labor only” move of this kind is that parking for our vehicle is still important. To send the crew and the gear that we’ll need for the move, we’ll often need to use our truck or another vehicle and have a place to put it.
In residential suburban communities, parking isn’t really a problem. But if you’re relocating within a big complex in Back Bay, for example, it’s a good idea to reserve the loading dock for our moving truck. For apartment buildings without loading docks, just ask us! Sometimes (but not always) you’ll need moving permits in Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, or Somerville.
