A little History of Walpole
Named for Sir Robert Walpole, Britain’s Prime Minister a few decades before the Revolutionary War, Walpole was officially incorporated in 1724. Thirty miles north of Providence and less than 20 miles south of Boston, Walpole is an ideally situated commuter town.
