Of course, Safe Responsible is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities as a carrier of household goods. Our DPU license number is 31608. Additionally, as required by state law, we carry workman’s compensation, general liability, cargo, and commercial auto insurance. We just move your stuff. In fact, we move anything and everything (well, most things – check out our Frequently Asked Questions or our List of Stuff Movers won’t Take if you’re wondering) anywhere and everywhere (within Massachusetts).
That’s right. Whatever you got — beds, books, benches — we’ll pick it up. Then we’ll put in our truck. Then we’ll move it into your new home. Sounds easy, right? Well, moving in Massachusetts is not always so simple.

Moving Services: Parking Permits
Also, we offer moving permit services. This service is available in Boston, Brookline, and Somerville. We don’t offer this service in Cambridge. This is because the City of Cambridge will post permits for you after you apply online.
What We Don’t Do
Because of legal and other restrictions, there are certain items we can’t take (here’s our list of items movers can’t take). Also, we do not offer snow removal services. If you’re moving between November and March, please consult our guide to moving in the winter.

1. The Old Move-Out/Move-In
(This is the most common type of move)
Like most of our customers, you’re moving from one Massachusetts town to another. Great! Whether you’re relocating your entire residence, your small office, or just moving a single piece of particularly unwieldy furniture, it doesn’t matter. This move is the specialty of our Massachusetts moving company, and while we’re located in Allston, we will travel anywhere in the state to accommodate your move. 2. The Big Rearrangement
(Moves within the same building, other moves that don’t require the loading or unloading of a truck)
You have some big furniture items in your kitchen or living room. The flooring company is starting work next week and you need to clear out the rooms. Contact the experts for a quote on taking your furniture into the garage or your basement for temporary storage. Or maybe you are moving to a new apartment, but it’s within the same building as your current place. Our MA moving company is happy to give you an estimate for that, too, just as long as the building is in Massachusetts.
3. The Cross-Country Journey (with furniture!)
You’re moving out of Massachusetts. Maybe the bright lights of Hollywood are calling, or you just took a job with the family business. Whatever the reason, we can help. While we do not perform full-service interstate moves oftentimes the most cost-efficient interstate move is one you handle yourself.
You can do this by renting your own truck, or renting and shipping a U-Pack trailer or POD. Then our expert local movers load the container here. When you get to your destination state, you’ll hire a different local moving company in your destination state. Alternatively, we can help you unload your truck or container if you’re coming to Massachusetts from out-of-state.
If you’re having our Massachusetts movers help you load a truck that another company will unload, make sure you get plenty of blankets and cargo-securing materials before the movers arrive.
Of course, if all of your move takes place outside of the state, we can’t help you. But you can tell your friends about us!

I'm clicking on 'reasonable price' because, for me, a reasonable price IS a great price.
The only problem I had was that the two movers had difficult difficulty reassembling my desk. After they left, I realized they had not put the drawers in appropriately. I emailed the owner. He responded immediately and actually apologized. He offered to come out within the next couple of days and actually refunded me $150 as he felt the his employees had taken too long to disassemble and reassemble the desk. Outstanding customer service which is not often seen these days.
I moved studio apartments and the 3 man crew was SUPER QUICK!! I had many boxes, some items which were quite heavy, and there were no complaints- they loaded the truck in 30 minutes. All three of them were so nice and were able to even lift a few extra things into my father's truck for me. I will definitely be using them again for my next move!! A++++++

Leading up to the move their communication was clear and helpful. Day off, truck was delayed due to a torrential rainstorm. The movers called and kept us updated.
Once they arrived, the crew were efficient and careful. I wasn't nervous or worried at all during the move (and I thought I would be).
Unloading was the same.
I highly recommend them and will absolutely book with them in the future when I move again.
They had no problem combating challenging move-in stairs and were very respectful of our neighbors unit who we had to pass through for bulky items.
