Can Safe Responsible Movers Move Me Today?
Sometimes, yes. Same-day availability depends on the size of the move, the locations, the time of day, the crew and truck required, and what is already scheduled.
A small apartment move, rental-truck unload, storage-unit move or labor-only job is generally easier to fit into an opening than a large household move requiring several movers and a 26-foot truck. Calling early and providing accurate information gives us the best chance of finding a workable option.
We may be able to help when:
- A scheduled job finishes earlier than expected
- A crew has an opening between two moves
- A customer reschedules or cancels
- The move is small enough to fit into the remaining workday
- You already have a rental truck or moving container and only need labor
- We have availability the following morning or afternoon
We do not operate as a 24-hour emergency dispatch service, and same-day service cannot be guaranteed. Calling is still worthwhile because our schedule can change throughout the day.

Apartment and Household Moves
We can handle complete local moves involving apartments, condominiums and houses when the appropriate crew and truck are available. This includes furniture protection, loading, transportation and unloading.
Labor-Only Moving Help
If you already have a U-Haul, Penske truck, POD, U-Box, Pack Rat container or other transportation, we may be able to send movers to help with loading or unloading. Labor-only moving jobs can sometimes be accommodated more easily because they do not require one of our moving trucks.
Moves Within the Same Building
We can help move furniture between apartments, floors, offices, basements or storage areas within the same property. These jobs may still require elevator approval or building access, even when no moving truck is needed.
Storage Unit Moves
We can move belongings into or out of local storage facilities, subject to crew availability and the facility’s access hours.
Last-Minute Packing Help
If your belongings are not packed, tell us before booking. Depending on availability, we may be able to provide packing labor and materials. Packing a complete apartment can add several hours to the job, so an unpacked move is considerably harder to accommodate on short notice.

Rates start at $179 per hour for two movers and a 16-foot truck, plus a travel fee, with a two-hour minimum. The actual rate depends on the date, crew size, truck size and services required.
We do not add a separate penalty simply because you called at the last minute. Peak dates and high-demand periods may have higher rates, but we will explain the hourly rate, travel fee and minimum before you book.
An accurate inventory is especially important. A move booked for two movers may require three or four movers if it includes multiple flights of stairs, heavy furniture, long walking distances or a large number of boxes. Choosing the correct crew can save time and prevent a short-notice move from continuing late into the evening.
